8mm needles

Bulky/super bulky yarn (5-6 wpi)

Size: Child, aged 4-6 (for bigger sizes add stitches in multiples of 6)

Abbreviations:

CBT – Cable twist – Place k/p/k stitches on a cable needle and rotate 180o to the right, reversing the stitches. Then k, p, k these rotated stitches

Pattern

CO 60  (or multiples of 6)

k1, p1 rib for 1.5 inches

Set up row: k, p, k, p3

Row 1: CBT, p3

Rows 2-4: k, p, k, p3

rep rows 1-4 SIX times, finishing on row 3

Row 4: k, p, k, p2tog, p

Row 1: CBT, p2

k, p, k, p2tog

k, p

k, p, k2tog

k, k2tog

(k, k2tog) to last 2, k2

k, k2tog

Break yarn, pull through remaining stitches. Sew in ends.
